Ornate Frames
Since 1969, Frame Masters has been crafting closed-corner picture frames, serving the trade, including museums, art galleries, auction houses, and other framing establishments. We make our own compo for our ornate frames. The recipe is the same as that used in making picture frames for Buckingham Palace a century or so ago by Master frame maker Richard Salt, who emigrated to the United States in the early 20th century, bringing bespoke European master craftsmanship to the United States.
Our finishes include traditional 22k gold leaf water gilding, metal leaf, stains, lacquers, and specialty finishes.
