A seascape by Adah Peale Stombaugh 1908 - 2002
The great - great - granddaughter of George Wilson Peale (1741- 1827), whose paintings of George Washington are still in the White House.
She studied oil painting at the San Francisco Academy of arts & completed numerous courses in oil painting from the University of Hawaii, foothill College, San Jose State as well as studying under several prominent private teachers.
Her work hangs in many private collections.
